12 Oct 2011 - Our software is now available for everyone
We are pleased to announce that version 4.0.0 of our software is now available for everyone. This represents a significant upgrade from the previous version.
New and improved features include:
- New - Completely redesigned Control Panel interface greatly improving usability
- New - "Desktop" with a number of "quick reports" available on initial login (only if you have the correct User permissions of course)
- New - Customer reporting allowing analysis of bookings by customer. Also allows the download in CSV format of customer list for easy management of mailing lists etc.
- New - added option to enter a "manual" booking, to allow better reporting across all bookings including walk-ins
- New - Image Manager module. Images can now be uploaded and managed directly via the Control Panel
- New - extended Room Extras. Now you can have Global (shown against all rooms) and Individual (shown against a specific room) Extras
- New - Room Limits functionality added. You can now set a minimum booking length within certain periods. So for example, only allow booking of more than 3 days over the Christmas period
- New - "Quick View" page for booking Rooms. This provides a "one-click" booking process to book a single available room. This can be set as the default view for your customers in the Control Panel under Settings->Display
- New - expanded the functionality available from your own site, so that you can easily add a "Check Availability" box. Used in conjunction with the Quick View room booking page, this can greatly enhance the ease of making a booking for your customers. To see this in action, have a look at our demonstration website
- Changed - Discount Vouchers can now be fixed price or percentage, and applied differently to each individual module (Rooms, Optional Extras, Standard Packages and Customised Packages)
- Changed - Deposits has now been renamed to Payment Options, and allows much greater control over how (and what) payments are requested at the module level
- And a whole host of other minor improvements and changes
And last - but not least - a very big thank you to our Beta Testers who have helped to make this release faster and better.
